Floating Image

Some things are just easier when you can see them.

Floating Image keeps one picture on top of whatever you are doing. A chord chart while you play. A recipe while you cook. A reference photo while you draw. A screenshot of an address while you type it somewhere else. The image sits above the app you are using, so you stop switching back and forth.

ON SCREEN IN A SECOND
Add images from your gallery, or send them straight over from any app with Share or Open with. Tap the float icon and the picture is on top. Tap it again to put it away.

MOVE IT WHERE IT SUITS YOU
Drag the image anywhere on screen. Pinch to make it bigger or smaller. Fade it down so you can still read what is underneath, then brighten it when you need the detail back.

LOCK IT AND KEEP WORKING
Locking makes the image ignore your taps, so they reach the app below it. The picture stays in view while you carry on typing, drawing or scrolling. Unlock it from the notification whenever you want to move it again.

EVERY IMAGE REMEMBERS ITS OWN SETUP
Position, size, opacity and lock state are saved per image. Something you float often comes back exactly where you left it, even after a restart. Size is kept relative to your screen, so it still looks right after you turn the phone.

Open any saved image full screen, pinch to zoom in on the detail, and set up exactly how it will float before you send it on top.

YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS
Floating Image keeps its own copy of every image you add, so nothing in your gallery is moved, changed or deleted. There is no account and no sign in, nothing is ever uploaded, and it works completely offline.

PERMISSIONS
Floating Image asks to draw over other apps, which is the permission that lets a picture sit on top of another app. It asks for notifications so you always have a way to lock or stop the floating image from your shade. That is all it asks for.
